Sahasradala padma kolam

 Hi friends, 

My first blog is about kolams. My love for kolam started very early. We had a nice neighborhood too where we used to put kolams on special occasions till late in the night . After finishing our kolam, we will walk through the street to find out whose kolam is the best. 

I don't prefer color kolams. I like symmetry, so if the colors dont match , I felt bad. So maybe, that is the reason I don't like putting color kolams. 

I love sikku kolams and kanya kolams.  I like to challenge myself with biggest sikku kolams .

Today I am going to share  " sahasradala padma" kolam. This literally means 1000 petal lotus. This should be strictly drawn in pooja room and we should never step on it.

This is the sahasra dala padma kolam. Half of the kolam is done on paint and the other is shown from blackboard.
